Building Characters…
What’s life without a little bit of adventure in it? Perhaps that could explain why we shoot the road that takes us from Delhi-Song-Delhi via Corbett, Nainital, Muketshwar, Binsar, Kausani, Baijnath, Bageshwar by bikes and then 100 Km trek of Song-Pindari Glacier-Song and than on the way back to Delhi via, Chaukari, Patal Bhubhaneshwar, Pithoragarh, Bhimtal.
We could have also attended the CATC and would have come back to home easily, like others have done, but for adventure lovers like us this Bike Expeditions meant a lot. We needed to prove our character not to anyone else but to ourselves. And we have discovered over this biking trip, faith & believing in ourselves is vital. But for this dream to come true, support and beliefe of one person was very important for us…without whose support this Bike Expedition wouldn’t be possible and that was our CO Sir. He was always there with us from the starting to guide us and to instruct us what to do and what not to do. His beliefe in us from when this bike expedition ‘tree’ was just a seed in our mind, that was the root of this trip.

For adventure lovers, like us these regions provide the perfect setting to pit ourselves against the elements. An unforgiving terrain, treacherous passes, snow, numbing wind and thin air put man and machine (in our case, adventure motor-cycling) through some extreme tests. There’s something about the Himalayas that draws you to the outback year after year. Rugged, dangerous, hauntingly beautiful, mind boggling landscapes and almost the roof of the world- you run out of adjectives to describe India’s beauty at altitudes that take you closer to God.
And as we have discovered over this biking trip, faith & beliefe in ourselves is vital. By any standard, our expeditions through high-altitude, cold and rain where one is at nature’s mercy, are a true test of our character. But for us the pride of achieving the objectives is always tempered by the realization that it was possible only because we willed it.
